Backed by Science, Formulated for You!™
The NSI Scientific Advisory Board, consists of board certified medical doctors, that have reviewed and conducted years of intensive research, resulting in exclusive patents of nutraceutical formulations. We guarantee our formulations are based purely on sound science. As board certified physicians, it is imperative to us that the products we formulate are of the highest quality and contain only the specific nutrients as designated at their optimal dosages. Rest assured that NSI only manufactures the very best.
Our Pledge to You Since 1994, the mission of Nutraceutical Sciences Institute (NSI) has been to improve the health of you and your family, while providing exceptional quality and value. The result -- our board certified medical panel has developed unique and effective patented formulas.
Our NSI Scientific Advisory Board doctors stand behind every ingredient. Only the most potent and effective forms and amounts go into NSI supplements. You can expect to find superior nutrients in an NSI bottle. These vitamins, minerals and nutrients undergo rigorous clinical testing. A special process culminates in only fully standardized herbs. Therefore, you receive highly concentrated active ingredients that produce the actual clinical benefit, not the less effective standardized/non-standardized mixtures of other companies. And, we use only superior raw material brands that pass our stringent standards of quality and effectiveness.
Multi-vitamins and nutrients all vary in their standards and potencies. Your typical A-Z multi-vitamin, for example, contains many of the same nutrients as your specialized premium vitamin, but at a lower grade or blend. Lower grade vitamins, nutrients and herbal supplements are sold in non-standardized forms - resulting in ineffectiveness. We use only standardized nutrients in NSI products. The process of standardization is achieved by isolating the small portion of a plant or herb that contains the active ingredient that produces the actual clinical benefit. For example, 100 mg of a whole plant herbal nutrient in its raw (non-standardized) form may contain only 5 mg of the active ingredient. The active ingredient is then isolated and concentrated through standardization. So, if your product does not clearly indicate that the herbs and phytonutrients are standardized to a specific active level, you can be sure you are not getting much, if any, in the way of active ingredients.
Non-standardized herbs cost much less and are less potent. For example, a kilogram (about 2.2 pounds) of a non-standardized herb could cost as little as $6.00, whereas a similar kilogram of the same herb in standardized form could cost over $600.00. Another way supplement manufacturers cut costs is to use a "blend" of a particular nutrient. By blending an effective nutrient with a cheaper raw material, manufacturers can increase their profits at your expense. In the case of calcium, for example, the label may indicate that the product contains calcium in the form of carbonate and citrate malate. The label doesn't tell you that the product may actually contain 99% of the carbonate form and only 1% of the citrate malate form. The carbonate form is basically ground-up rock and is considerably less expensive than the citrate malate form that has been proven to reverse bone loss and cut fracture rates in half. All NSI products are free of gluten, yeast, wheat, lactose, eggs, and preservatives.
All of the nutraceuticals from NSI utilize powerful UltrAbsorb Technology® - these highly concentrated nutrients (the most bioactive forms) and digestive aids maximize absorption up to 250%! Plus, NSI's pharmaceutical grade capsules are easier to swallow than rock hard tablets and dissolve faster for maximum absorption.
