Glucosamine is a sugar produced in the body (and found in small amounts in some foods) that plays an important part in joint construction. It stimulates the production of "glycosaminoglycans," which are key structural components of cartilage. Supplementing with glucosamine is believed to provide the "building blocks" needed to build and maintain healthy cartilage.
Chondroitin is another naturally-occurring molecule that promotes cartilage health. It keeps cartilage resilient by absorbing fluid (particularly water) into the connective tissue. It may also block the release of enzymes that trigger joint destruction.
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is an organic source of sulfur, necessary for the structural integrity of connective tissues. Because sulfur depletion is associated with connective-tissue complications, supplementing with MSM, which is 34% sulfur, is believed to have some benefit for joint health.
Manganese is a trace mineral that also plays a part in joint cartilage production. It's also essential for chondroitin sulfate synthesis, which is critical to the organic matrix of bone.

Directions
Pets up to 10 lbs, 1/4 tablet once a day, for pets 10-24 lbs give 1/2 tablet daily, for pets 25-100 lbs give 1 tablet daily and for pets over 100 lbs give 2 tablets daily, or as directed by a veterinarian. It is recommended that double the amount should be given for the first 6 weeks then reduce gradually over a 3-week period to the recommended dose.
Warnings
Double safety sealed with an outer shrink wrap film and an inner bottle freshness seal. Do not use if either seal is broken or missing. Store in a cool, dry place.
